Recently, RANA found that some customers confuse PTFE lined storage tanks with rubber lined storage tanks. In fact, the materials of these two kinds of anti-corrosion equipment are completely different, and there are also great differences in performance.
Firstly, the lining material is different, what we said fluoroplastic also can be called as fluoropolymer or fluororesin which include teflon PTFE, PFA , ECTFE, ETFE, FEP, PVDF. But there are only (natural) hard rubber and semi-hard rubber (vulcanized rubber) for rubber Lined tanks.
Secondly, in terms of manufacturing process. The main processing for Fluoropolymer Lined storage tanks is including sheet lining, spray coating, Rotolining and molding; for the rubber lined storage tanks by vulcanizing to change the rubber structure.
Finally, in terms of performance. The corrosion resistance of fluoropolymer lined storage tanks is stronger, wider than that of rubber lined storage tanks.
In addition, in terms of aging resistance, the performance of Teflon PTFE, PFA, ECTFE lined storage tanks is also better than that of rubber lined tanks. What`s more, the service life of our fluororesin lined tanks is longer.
